Employee Testimonials

We invite you to read what our employees have to say ...

Julio A, Regional Account Manager, Enertech
While I was born in Mexico City, I have lived in California since I was a young child. I have been working at Enertech, a Curtiss-Wright Flow Control company, since March 2002 and started as an apprentice account representative while studying for my Business Administration/Marketing degree at California State University, Fullerton. After six months I was given my own territory covering the Midwest, South and Canada. In 2003 I was promoted to the Project Sales group as the Project Account Representative for North America where I was responsible for increasing our market share and securing new accounts.

In August 2004, I became the Project Sales Specialist responsible for strategic sales for valves and instrumentation worldwide. My career path progressed to Regional Account Manager for the West Coast in February 2006 and recently expanded to include Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Enertech has opened many doors for my career advancement. I’m very fortunate to work for a company that provides me with so many resources and opportunities. I really enjoy working with my fellow employees in successfully providing customer satisfaction and growing our business throughout the world.

Dan A, Director of Sales, Farris Engineering
My career at Curtiss Wright Flow Control began over 13 years ago in the Farris Engineering business unit. I started as an inside sales contact and worked my way up to my current position of Director of Sales. During my tenure at Farris, I have held numerous positions including Direct Sales, Regional Sales Manager, and National Sales Manager.

Our mission at Farris is “Understanding what the Customer wants…making it happen!”
That motto has been adopted by all employees from the sales desk to the shop floor, and this can-do attitude makes the work environment exciting. When everyone is striving toward the same goal, anything can be accomplished and nothing will stand in our way.

Farris Engineering has long been known as a company to go the extra mile for the customer, whether it is creating an innovative valve design that will change the industry or developing new software tools that make our customers’ jobs easier. This innovative spirit, coupled with the entrepreneurial heritage of our founders, Glenn Curtiss and Orville and Wilbur Wright, makes all the difference in the world. My career at Curtiss-Wright can best be described in these words: the sky’s the limit!

Jerrie C, Sr. Project Manager, CWC Embedded Computing
I joined Curtiss Wright Controls because it was a perfect opportunity—at the right time! After successful careers in various disciplines within the telecommunications and contract manufacturing industries, a former colleague contacted me with an opportunity to utilize the varied skill set that I had built over the years with Curtiss-Wright Controls. He was right – it was a perfect opportunity. During my tenure, I’ve worked closely with the local team in pulling together the strategic plan and evaluations of new business potentials among other interesting projects.
Currently, I am in Programs and really enjoying working with our team to create value for our customers – existing and new. The job requires a different perspective just about every day - customer service, project management, finance, supply chain, operations, quality, engineering, etc. In summary, it’s a chance to make a difference in meeting new challenges every day!

I would recommend Curtiss-Wright Controls as a place for people who enjoy challenges and are motivated in building the future. In addition, from a broader professional perspective...in supporting customer requirements, although not co-located, we have the opportunity to utilize capabilities and competencies of other CW locations. For example, Littleton reached out to the Shelby location in evaluating Supply Chain opportunities for supporting the Textron Armored Security Vehicle (ASV) gear assembly. We leveraged the “big company” technology support in a highly successful “local” venue. There are many resources available to facilitate success.

Mark J, Production Supervisor, CWC Engineered Systems
I have been with Curtiss-Wright for 19 years. I have worked in various production positions from Deburr Technician to Manufacturing Lead Person. As a lead person, my responsibilities included supervision of milling machine operators and scheduling of production work. I helped to implement 5S and reorganization in the production shop at the Shelby, North Carolina Facility.

I attended a TPM Train the Trainer Workshop at Marshall Institute in Raleigh in February 2001 where I received my TPM Coordinators Certification. I along with our TPM steering committee at Shelby customized and implemented a TPM process for our Shelby N.C. facility.
We conducted our first TPM event in Shelby in April of 2001. We have completed over 40 events to date and strive to continually improve our processes and our work environment. I attained my Six Sigma Green Belt in February 2003 and am one of a few suppliers to be certified as a Boeing approved TPM Coordinator. I have participated as a trainer in several Boeing sponsored Lean Events.

In my current position as Production Supervisor, I strive to insure that Curtiss-Wright continues to deliver quality products, and on time deliveries to our customers, while continuously improving our processes.

I have found my career here at Curtiss-Wright to be rewarding, challenging, and enjoyable. The company has encouraged me to set high goals for myself and have provided me with the tools to accomplish these goals.

David L, Project Engineer, CWC Embedded Computing
My name is David. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I finished my first year of college at the Chinese University of Hong Kong but decided to continue my education in the United States. Two years later, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University in Buffalo. In 2003, I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from Binghamton University with an emphasis on Computational Linguistics. I am also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the American Mensa.

My background has been on flight controls, engine controls and UAVs along with software and systems engineering, project engineering and process improvement activities. I joined Curtiss Wright Controls Embedded Computing at Santa Clarita, CA as a Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer, our mission is to ensure the successful executions of engineering projects through careful planning, monitoring and risk management activities.

I chose Curtiss Wright because I am excited about the challenges ahead of me. Curtiss Wright at Santa Clarita has been successful in its quest to become a System Integrator and the growth has been phenomenal. Management treats each employee with candor and fairness, and commitment to developing its employees. Employees are given plenty of opportunities to achieve their full potentials. I cannot think of a better company to work for. It's my honor to be part of the Curtiss Wright family.

Dwayne T, Program Manager, Peerless Instrument
I began my career with Peerless 18 years ago after earning a BS in Electrical Engineering. I was hired as a Contract Administrator and over the years held a variety of positions in contract administration and program management.

I am currently the Program Manager for our circuit board assemblies, responsible for coordinating the engineering, manufacturing and delivery of products to meet the technical requirements and critical schedules of our customers. My duties can be described as numerous, challenging and rewarding.

Peerless has given me many opportunities to grow professionally. I have been provided with increased responsibilities throughout my career and it is rewarding to see the direct impact of my decisions on the performance of our company. Peerless has allowed me to grow academically as well. I obtained a Masters of Business Administration through the tuition reimbursement program and attended various management training programs. Equally as important, I have had the good fortune to meet talented, genuine people at Peerless, resulting in life-long friendships.

Peerless is experiencing significant growth and is traveling on the road to greater success. I am proud and excited to be a part of the journey.
